This project was very experimental, exploring cyanotypes and printing on acetate layered over portraits. I wanted to create a visual profile of my girlfriend, focusing on contact and materiality - both in my practice and visuals. I aimed to refrain from obviously capturing her face to let audiences create their own narrative and opinions about my subject. This work was presented in a physical portfolio, demonstrating my exploration of printing and narrative. I took inspiration from artists such as Kelli Perletti, involving the surrounding environment in the images - scanning the sand from the beach we shot on and incorporating it into the portrait.
