tell me what you see
exhibition 2022
I put together and held a photography exhibition with a group of my course mates. We were responsible for everything - from fundraising, to finding a venue, to creating the work, to advertising. The exhibition was held in Sale Market Walk in one of their empty shop spaces which attracted many members of the public, allowing us to wider our audience.
This exhibition aimed to challenge perspectives, heavily focusing on themes of identity. My individual work that was presented was titled 'How I See You' and explored visual profiles of individuals including myself using ink prints. I wanted to experiment with creating abstract portraits using specific objects and elements of the body to present how I see people without showing the people themselves. I gained inspiration from Elisabeth Walden and Robert Rauschenberg and their abstract print works.
